Dog Walking With a Personal Touch

James Dog Walking was started with a simple idea: dog walking should be about more than just getting a dog out for some exercise.

After having my own dog for 16 years, I know how much they become part of the family. She was a Springer Spaniel and Labrador cross, and after losing her to old age, I found myself really missing the time spent walking and being around a dog.

I'm not in a position to have another dog of my own right now, but starting James Dog Walking gives me the opportunity to spend time with dogs, get out walking and do something I genuinely enjoy.

Most importantly, I want every dog we look after to feel like they're getting the same care and attention I'd want for my own.

Getting To Know Your Dog

Every dog has their own personality.

Some are full of energy, some are more relaxed, and some have their own particular ways of doing things. We want to take the time to understand those differences rather than treating every dog the same.

As we get to know your dog, we learn what they enjoy, what they're comfortable with and what makes their walks better.

The aim is to build a genuine bond with them, so they become comfortable and happy in our care.

Keeping Things Personal

James Dog Walking is deliberately being kept as a small team.

We believe this allows us to build proper relationships with the dogs we look after and provide a more personal service than simply sending a different walker every time.

Wherever possible, we'll aim to have your dog walking with a familiar face who knows them, their routine and their personality.

For us, that's an important part of providing a service you can feel confident in.

The Kind of Service We'd Want For Our Own Dog

Leaving your dog with someone else is a big thing.

You want to know they're safe, well looked after and enjoying themselves while they're out with us.

That's the standard we want to work to.

We're not looking to become the biggest dog-walking business around. We want to build something local, reliable and personal, where we know the dogs we walk and their owners know who is looking after them.

Meet & Greet

Before we start walking your dog, we'll arrange a free, no-obligation meet & greet.

It's an opportunity for us to meet you and your dog, talk about their routine and needs, and make sure we're the right fit.

It's important that you're comfortable with us — and that your dog is too.

Tell Us About Your Dog
